January Card Class – Circle Circus

by Sarah on 22/01/2010

Today is the first monthly workshop of the year. I must admit I am a little nervous, but I’m sure I’ll be fine once I’m there. The photograph shows the projects we will be making, 3 cards and a covered notepad. I have chosen Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Grey, Regal Rose, Rose Red and Real Red for my colour palette. I wanted to use Valentine’s as a theme, but only the colour scheme so these cards can be sent all year round. The stamp sets are Circle Circus and Sincere Salutations. All of the punches are the circle punches. Let me know what you think! :)

Here are all the cards we made!

Thank You Card and Pen

by Sarah on 21/01/2010

Here is a quick Thank You card with envelope that I made for my customers to say ‘Thanks’. Inside I have written my message on a post-it note, so the customer can simply peel off the note and reuse the card to send to a friend. Along with the card, I am also sending this cute gel pen that I have popped a piece of Kaleidoscope Designer Pattern Paper inside and tied a piece of ‘Certainly Celery’ 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon in a bow at the top. Cute!

All in the Family Birthday Card

by Sarah on 19/01/2010

All in the family card

I made this simple card last night using the lovely ‘All in the Family’ Stamp set, with the sentiment from ‘Sincere Salutations’. I have used Whisper White card stock and with various Stampin’ Ink colours and a blender pen to colour in my Grandpa and Button the dog. :) The base card is ‘Not quite Navy’. I have used the Scallop border punch too!!

Thinking of You

by Sarah on 16/01/2010

Thinking of You

Today I was playing with my ‘Like a Rose’ stamp set. I love it. I just love it. I had stamped a sheet of whisper white card stock, and cut up into strips to cover notepads. I had a small strip left that I was just going to throw in the bin, but just as I was doing that I had an idea. I love this card and I think it’s a clever way of using your punches, without punching out the complete image within the punch. It just goes to show, don’t throw away anything, you can always create a card from it.

Here’s how I made this card:

1. Stamp rose image onto Whisper White cardstock, using Pink Passion and Pretty in Pink for the rose bud and Certainly Celery with Sage Shadow for the leaves.

2. Using the three circle punches, punch out various circles from the stamped image, and keep to one side.

3. Cut one A4 sheet of Kraft cardstock in half, then fold in half again with bone folder.

4. Using the original punched out cardstock, use this as a guide and place this in the position you would like each rose.

5. Using SNAIL and Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere the punched out circles, back into position onto the guide, lining up the image.

6. Once all circled have been adhered to the card, remove the guide to reveal the circle pattern.

7. Stamp the Floral Swirl stamp from Baroque Motifs with Sage Shadow on base card.

8. Stamp the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment in Basic Grey onto Whisper White cardstock, punch with 1″ circle punch, adhere into position, trimming off edge.

9. Make a bow with Certainly Celery 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon, adhere with Sticky Strip.

10. Finally punch corners with corner rounder.

Below  is a list of all materials used:

Thinking of You: All materials Stampin’ Up!
Cardstock: Kraft, Whisper White.
Ribbon: 1/4″ Grosgrain Certainly Celery.
Punches: Corner Rounder, 1 3/4″ Circle, 1″ Circle, 3/4″ Circle.
Ink: Pink Passion, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Sage Shadow, Basic Grey.
Stamp set: Like a Rose, Trendy Trees (Sentiment), Baroque Motifs.
Adhesives: Sticky Strip, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive Runner.

Family Stampin’ Fun!

by Sarah on 31/12/2009

Stampin Fun

Today I got out my Stampin’  Up! stamps for all the family to have a play at creating stamped images.  I had several preprinted business cards for my Stampin’ Up! business, so everyone stamped away. I love that we all created something different, some of which I’d have never have thought to do!

Stampin Fun

I am so pleased with the business cards which I will use to send out to all my customers. We really did have alot of fun and giggles, I think this photo below says it all. So get out your stamp sets with your family and stamp. Stamp anything, (with permission) stamp pages in your calender, diary, envelopes and just have fun.
