Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue anyone?

by Sarah on 08/03/2010

Each year Stampin’  Up! release a new ‘Mini’ Idea Book & Catalogue, called the ‘Mini Catalogue’. The Mini Catalogue is packed with brand new stamp sets, accessories and product ideas. All stamp sets are only available to buy during the length of the promotion, 1st April – 30th September 2010.

I have ordered a bumper pack of Mini Catalogues to send out to each of my customers absolutely free of charge. If you would like to be added to the postal list then please email me and leave your name and address. Your Mini Catalogue will be sent out to you during the last week of March, ready for the start for the promotion in April.

Orders from the Mini Catalogue can be combined with any other products from the Idea Book & Catalogue 2009 – 2010.

As a demonstrator I was able to pre order all items from the catalogue to play with and make card ideas to show my customers. These card ideas will be up on my blog next week when my Stampin’ Up! Mini order arrives, so please check back at a later date to see what I have made.

But for now, here’s a sneak peek!

Email me now to be added to my growing mailing list for Mini Catalogues!

Hello all! I just can’t stop making cards. I have 101 things to do before the wedding show at the weekend, but I have all these ideas for cards floating around in my head. Why do I always get so many ideas when I actually have to get other things done?! I gave into my head and made this gorgeous card tonight. (And yes, it’s green. Again. I LOVE green.) I’d love to know your thoughts!

Punched Flower Cards

by Sarah on 22/02/2010

I made these simple thank you cards tonight. I have used a simple colour palette, Barely Banana, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip. Here’s how I made these cards:

Card 1 (Left)

  • Take an A4 piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock, and place into SU trimmer length ways. Trim at 10.5cm. Then score in half at 10.5cm to make a folded square card, 10.5cm x 10.5 cm.
  • Trim a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock at 9.5cm x 8.5cm. Punch corners with SU corner rounder punch.
  • Trim a scrap of Old Olive card stock at 9.5cm x 3.5cm. Punch with corner rounder.
  • Use SU Paper Snips and snip down the long side.
  • Use SNAIL Adhesive to stick the two pieces together. Align on the SU Paper Grid to make sure the finished size is 9.5cm x 9.5cm. Glue to card base.
  • Rip out a few of the snipped lengths down the side and rough it up.
  • Take scallop punch and punch one scallop circle from Barley Banana card stock. Use Chocolate Chip ink and ink the edges. Use paper snips to cut into the centre of the flower.
  • Take 1-3/4″ circle punch and punch out 1 Old Olive and 1 Pumpkin Pie circle.
  • Hold the Old Olive circle in the circle punch to create a leaf shape and punch out again. Repeat as desired. Use the flower stamp from ‘Playful Petals’ stamp set and stamp in Chocolate Chip ink onto the leaves.
  • Snip the Pumpkin Pie circle all around the outside, and trim so it is smaller.
  • Take button from Earth Elements button collection and thread the SU cord into the button holes.
  • Layer up the pieces with glue dots to fix the flower, and SNAIL Adhesive to fix the leaves to card.
  • Ink up Thank You sentiment from ‘Thank You Kindly’ stamp set, in Chocolate Chip and stamp on card.
