My Craft Room

by Sarah on 24/09/2009

I thought it would be a good idea to snap some photos of my craft room when it was tidy. I have been meaning to do it for about a year and 3 months for my family to see, back when I was living in a different house. Now we’ve moved and settled in, I think I’ve finally got my room how I want it. Enjoy!

Craft Room Desk

This is the desk I sit at, glass top and legs from Ikea. I have my computer on the left, with the base unit in the compartment of the table leg, and keyboard on the shelf above. On the other side lives my sewing machine and in the shelf lives all my paper trimmers. Along the back of the desk I have various tins filled with pens, pencils etc, I also have a bar from Ikea along the wall, which has more tubs wtih pens etc on it, and a hanging basket with ribbon reels in. On the wall I have picture rails from Ikea, which hold my Stampin’ Up! stamp sets. I have room above to put more shelves along here as my collection grows.  And under that 12×12 paper is the new 09-10 Stampin’ Up! catalogue :-o sshh!

Printer and Laminator

When we moved in, my parents and I spent about a week cleaning and painting, and more cleaning and more painting. Thanks mum and dad! I’d originally chosen a darker shade of green, but I started with the sample pot and changed my mind. (Always.. always buy a sampler before a big tin!! and at £1.50 odd, you can’t go wrong.) So, I picked out ‘Soft Apple’ by Dulux. I love the colour my room is. I love green. I think the white of the Ikea furniture and the green makes it look fresh. :)

Punches Corner

Right up until last Sunday I had both my Expedits standing up, with a billy book case inbetween. But I needed more space to store my machines, and I wanted abit of wall space for my pin board. So, I cleared out the billy bookcase and have gave that to Tom. He’s always got his head in a book, and I’m always finding books about the house – everywhere, seriously - so I’ve moved it down into the hall and gathered up all his books. Now he has a space for them, and doesn’t ask me if I’ve seen a certain book that he think’s he’s lost. :-D

Stampin' Up! Ink Pad Storage

Luckily there was enough room to lay the expedit down on it’s side. :-D

My Pinboard

Ahh and my lovely pinboard with my Copic Marker Colour Chart. I made that chart in Excel of all the Copic Markers. I colour in each block when I have the pen. I have some more colouring to do! I will have the chart available to download from the ‘Goodies’ page at the top.

That’s it for the tour around my craft room, I hope you liked it and perhaps it’s given you some ideas for you room. Please leave your comments below, I’d love to know what you think! Now I’m off to make a mess in here.
