Today I got out my Stampin’ Up! stamps for all the family to have a play at creating stamped images. I had several preprinted business cards for my Stampin’ Up! business, so everyone stamped away. I love that we all created something different, some of which I’d have never have thought to do!

I am so pleased with the business cards which I will use to send out to all my customers. We really did have alot of fun and giggles, I think this photo below says it all. So get out your stamp sets with your family and stamp. Stamp anything, (with permission) stamp pages in your calender, diary, envelopes and just have fun.

Today is the first day of Stampin’ Up’s! Sale-a-bration (SAB) promotion.
How does the Sale-a-bration work?
When you spend just £45 (before p&p) on any of the products from the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue, you get to choose which of the four stamp sets you’d like to receive as a FREE stamp set to add to your Stampin’ Up! collection. Great deal or what?!
Another great thing is that there is no limit per person to the number of stamp sets you can order for each £45 spent. So if you were to spend £90 you can choose 2 out of the four stamp sets.
The following are the four stamp sets to choose from:
Happy Moments

Whimsical Words

Good Neighbours

Vintage Labels

As a demonstrator I got to see the SAB catalogue back at the beginning of December to pre-order one of the stamp sets to make samples.. When I first saw the catalogue, all I said with my eyes wide open was ”Wow”.. followed by.. “Oh.. I want them all!” I finally managed to pick ‘Happy Moments’. Here is the card I made for the SAB swap, thanks to Michelle for the photo!

If you have at least 3 days to go before the occasion I can post your recipient a personalised wallet card, hand-made by myself, containing a gift voucher to the value of your choice. (See photo above) There is no additional charge for the wallet card or the postage to the recipient.
If you have left it too late for posting the wallet card, I can send your recipient an E-Card with a voucher. All you need to do is supply me with the correct email address.
Gift vouchers are avaliable in £5 denominations and are only redeemable through me, Sarah Makin, Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, they do not have an expiry date. I can take payment via paypal (5% fee applies), bank transfer or cheque. Your recipient can then contact me with what they would like to order, and their order will be sent to them.

This is me. I had a little accident with a tub of red Stampin’ Up! glitter while making last minute christmas cards tonight. I have no idea how this happened!! It is lovely glitter though, shame I wasted it!

Today’s card is another Thank you card, you can never have enough thank you cards in the drawer! I’ve broken out my embossing powders and had a play.
Here’s how I made it.
I began by taking a single sheet of Very Vanilla cardstock and marking the centre to cut with my Stampin’ Up! Paper Trimmer, into two A5 pieces. I then changed the blade on the trimmer to the scoring blade, and scored in half to make a C6 size card.
Now, Stampin’ Up! Inks are a water based, fast drying, almost instant ink, which means that you can emboss with them, but you have to be super fast!! So, if you’re not prepared for your embossing like myself before you’ve inked it up, this neat little trick will the useful to know!
What you do to emboss, is choose your stamp, I have the large floral swirl from ‘Baroque Motifs’, take your clear VersaMark ink pad (The best ink pad ever, if you don’t own one.. why ever not?! They are sooo juicy and do wonders!) and take it directly to your stamp, inking well.
Next take your chosen Stampin’ Up! Ink Pad colour, I have used Mellow Moss, and ink up your stamp with the colour. You’ll have a nice wet layer on your rubber stamp. Now stamp your image onto your card front.
Now what you’ll see that you have a wet image on your card, with the Mellow Moss on the bottom, followed by that all important VersaMark layer on top.
Have your clear embossing powder ready, tip a generous amount over the image, into another tray or scrap paper to save the precious powder! Heat with Stampin’ Up! Embossing Tool.
It will take a few seconds to heat, but it will soon catch on, just make sure you move the tool around. It doesn’t need to be waved, just a slow movement in little circles I find works best. And.. tada! One embossed image!
Now, if you’re quick, you can cover with another layer of embossing powder, but I didn’t think this needed it. I have then finished the card off by using the ‘thanks so much’ sentiment from the Trendy Trees’ stamp set, and stamped the small flower from ‘Flight of the Butterfly’ in Taken with Teal ink. Using the small butterfly I stamped it twice in Regal Rose, and cut around it using my Stampin’ Up! paper snips, then adhered to the card using some mini glue dots to give a litle bit of a lift. I also just tweaked the wings so they would stick out slightly.
Fini!!
It’s worth mentioning that once you have embossed an image, you can then stamp over it. You can get some quite interesting effects as the embossed section doesn’t take on the ink. Try it out!!
EDIT: I’ve added a close up photograph so you can see the clear embossing. Isn’t it just delicious?! I’ve also made the card again, swapping the colours over.

Tell someone just how much they mean to you with this sweet butterfly flutters card.
I just had to take this photo on the window sill of my craft room. Can you believe I have a photograph with abit of sunlight in it?! I’m suprised to see that the sky is rather clear today. Clear but rather chilly!
