Birthday Cupcake Paper Piecing Card

by Sarah on 13/08/2010

This is a birthday card I made for my sister’s boyfriend’s birthday which was today.  The cute cupcake image is from the stamp set ‘Crazy for Cupcakes’. I have stamped in Basic Black ink, once on each colour of designer paper, (Sweet Pea Designer Paper and the Chocolate Chip Designer Papers.)

Carefully I then cut around each section of the cupcake and then used the SNAIL adhesive runner to piece the cupcake together. The card is finished off with a layer of co-ordinating designer paper and a length of pumpkin pie striped grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon is wrapped around the inside of the card, which neatly holds a folded £££ note in place.

Happy Birthday Simon! I hope you had a wonderful day. x

All materials used are from Stampin’ Up! and available to order from me today.
