Hello all! I thought I’d challenge myself with this card to only use colours that are soon to be retired. I really enjoyed using the colours from our current ‘Bold Brights’ collection, it made me realise just how much I love the bright colours and how much I’m going to miss them once they are no longer available in October.
To make this card I used Pink Passion for the base card. The gorgeous row of candles is one of six stamps from the Level 3 Hostess Set ‘Queue Up’. Queue Up is only available to Stampin’ Up! customers with a workshop order of £500.00 or more. The happy birthday sentiment is another stamp set that I am sad to see go, called ‘Happy Everything’. Happy Everything can be found on page 64 of you IB&C, with a lovely 25% off the price, was £15.95, now £11.96. I coloured in the candles using the bold brights marker pens. ( I just love colouring in!) And finally I wrapped a length of Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon (A colour which is not disappearing - Thank goodness! BUT – the grosgrain ribbon in this particular colour is to retire!) around the whisper white card, then tied a scrap piece of the same ribbon around, I call this my cheat bow!
That’s it for now, if you love the Bold Brights collection as much as I do, and own all the ink pads I strongly recommend that if you only purchase one item this September from the Last chance list, make that item the set of 12 re inkers for your ink pads. Our ink pads do last a long time, but there will come a time where your ink pads will need some more juice! Grab the re inkers before they are gone for good!
Thank you for reading, I’d love to know your thoughts x
